After many months of hard work, shopping trips, texts, pins, returns and exchanges, Little Things Borrowed a bridal accessory and veil rental company has arrived in Largo, Maryland! The showroom is open to the public.
The showroom is one of the first in Largo. The space was originally your standard, industrial office with dark gray carpet. Renovating and re-designing the entire space took a little patience along with some creativity and imagination with the assistance a contractor.
Every color, detail, magazine, anything and everything you see was a team effort from Lesa and her mom. There were some tough decisions, budgets to honor, but knowing that if you went with your gut on what you love, you can’t go wrong. The style and vision of the showroom is all of the owner Lesa Paige.
We welcome Little Things Borrowed the bridal accessories and veils showroom to Largo, Maryand!
Some veils hang from a magnetic strip on the walls for easy grabbing and organizing. The longer veils hang on white, natural wood hangers. A full-length mirror is available for bride’s try-on veils and accessories.
The feeling of this modest space was to be light and airy. You will notice the white sheepskin rug in the showroom. The “Yes, No and Next” and “Cheers, I found my accessories at Little Things Borrowed” customer signage was created by owner of So Very Heather Designs.
Lesa wanted to go in different direction from the typical check-out consoles and explained her vision of a table where contracts could be signed and payment could be made on her iPad. At first, I was hesitant since this was very untraditional but I’ so glad we found the right pieces to make it look like it belongs.
Can you give me an overview of the process of shopping for accessories and veils at Little Things Borrowed?
Little Things Borrowed is open by appointment only. Each appointment is an hour long. Each bride has an individual stylist who will help her throughout the entire process to pull her entire wedding day look together. We recommend that brides bring no more than two people to the appointment shopping for bridal accessories can be a very emotional and personal experience, so you should bring those people whose opinions you value most.
How far in advance would you recommend that brides start looking for bridal accessories?
Typically, we recommend that brides begin shopping about one year in advance of their wedding date, and actually purchase a wedding dress at least 7 to 9 months in advance then visit our showroom or online to reserve their look. However, we are able to reserve your look up to 12 months in advance to 3 days before the wedding or event.
